Confidence Through Comedy is a structured, skill-based series of workshops designed to build confidence through craft, courage and supported public expression.
The workshops are designed to:
Each 10-week term culminates in a low-tech showcase designed to celebrate growth.
Participants may join for a single term, with opportunities to deepen their craft and confidence in progressive workshops.
Each 10-week term combines practical exercises, structured skill development and supported performance practice.
The emphasis is on developing real performance skills, supported by clear structure and professional guidance.
This is disciplined creative practice — delivered in a supportive environment.
Confidence Through Comedy attracts thoughtful people who are willing to stretch themselves creatively.
Some participants arrive saying, 'I could never do that.' Many leave surprised by what they’re capable of.
You don’t need to be confident to begin. You do need to be willing.
Performance isn’t about applause. It’s about integration.
When you step forward — even in a small, supported showcase — something shifts. You are no longer someone who might. You become someone who does.
That shift is where enduring confidence is built.
“Pat is an amazing coach — he helped me gain confidence in public speaking in a really enjoyable eight-week course.”
“The skills we developed weren’t about being funny — they were practical tools I use in daily life.”
“This wasn’t just entertainment — it helped me overcome anxiety and build meaningful relationships through shared experience.”
“The structured approach made it feel possible to step forward and grow — and that confidence has stayed with me.”
“I arrived unsure whether I could ever perform in front of others. The structure, encouragement and discipline made it achievable. By the end, I wasn’t just more confident on stage — I felt more confident in myself.”
Alongside the September programme, I also deliver:
